I love to see the temple
Today I got to take photos for the Wedel family. Derek got his mission call and went through the temple for the first time. Adilyn and I waited outside while they went through the session. Then when they got done I took photos of Derek and thier family. While waiting I watched as a family gathered around the special door that the bride and groom come out of after being sealed. Then the happy couple came out, all smiles and loving, holding hands. I remembered when Caleb and I walked out that vey door and met our family and friends waiting outside to congratulate us. Then the thought crossed my mind that one day I will be standing outside waiting for Adilyn and her new husband to come out of that door. It was a sereal feeling. I know it will be here faster than I want. I realize that at that time I won't have any control over who she chooses. I hope and pray that she takes her time and is very picky when she chooses the man she will spend eternity with. But I know that I do have control over what example I set for her now and what I expose her to. I have control, as I raise her, over what I teach her about how a man should treat her and what a worthy priesthood holder does. I also hope and pray that her future husband's mother is praying for the same things for her baby boy right now. I hope he has a mother that is setting an example for him of a woman of faith and teaching him about what a worthy woman of God does. One day I'm sure Adilyn will give me a huge pay day when I get to be in the temple with her as she covenants with her Father in Heaven and with her husband for time and eternity. And I will be waiting outside the doors for them to congratulate them and to welcome them into the world as a newly wedded couple.
