Walking

The day before thanksgiving Adilyn took her first steps. It was one of the most exciting days since having her. It was so fun and we spent the night helping her walk back and forth between us. Now she walks all of the place. She prefers to walk now instead of crawl and now that she can walk getting her to sit still is so much harder. In church it is nearly impossible. But it's so much fun to chance her around, regardless.
She has also leaned to climb up on everything, including into her toy box.

Christmas

We had such a fun Christmas. This was out tree this year. We got a to get a brand new tree after Christmas last year so it was on sale plus as a bonus the store we got it at was going out of business so we got quit the deal on it. And I love it! It turned out very pretty.
Adilyn had a really hard time staying away from the gift and the tree although we tried very hard. On Christmas Day when she was finally allowed to rip into the gifts she didn't seem that interested.
We made quite the haul this year. These are all the gifts under my parents tree. Adilyn got a doll, cloths, a ball, books, baby treats in her stocking, bath toys. And some Disney movies. And Caleb made out with new work boots, a membership to the dollar shave club, and a new frying pan for us morning eggs. I got a shirt and a new decorative bowl, some pampered chef stuff, and we both got some new family games. The best part of Christmas, however, was the gift we got my parents. My siblings and I secretly got together at my parents home while they were in Mexico, and recreated old family photos from our childhood. It was a blast and my parents loved it!

On our trip to my parents for Christmas we journeyed down to Clearfield to visit Amber and Amy and their kids. The next day we want to Cabelas. Adilyn got to see all the huge fish. She had fun running around and pointing at everything.
Adilyn got this super fun toy from her grandma Lowder. She loves it! And she has figured out new ways to play with it. Including standing on and in it, sitting on and in it, and pushing it all over the house.

Halloween

I understand Halloween was almost 3 months ago but better late than never. As you can see Adilyn was a ducky for Halloween (DI $3 special) and she sure made a cute one. We spent Halloween at my parents house. We trick or treated Christensens, Mauphets, Beutlers, and Thelma. Then we made our last stop at grandma and grandpa Becksteads. She caught on pretty quick that the candy was in the bucket and she reached in there to grab a tootsie roll that she eventually got part of the wrapper off of and was sucking out all the tasty chocolate. Needless to say it was a success and a ton of fun.

11 Months

My daughter smiles all day long at everything all the time but as soon as I try to pose her and put the camera up she is stone faced. She has become unbelievably hard to photograph.  But she is so much fun!! She started walking the day before thanksgiving and hasn't slowed down for a second. She is non stop and into everything!! We are excited for christmas around here if for no other reason than for Adilyn to get some new toys. She has become disillusioned by her old toys and wants to get into everything else. she is a handful to say the least.  We are having so much fun this this munchkin.

Ten Months

Adilyn is 10 months old! Wow how she has grown.  She loves her Daddy and playing peek-a-boo.  She is learning new signs like dog and train.  She has learned to climb up onto some of the smaller furniture in our home now. She is always on the go and has a hard time sitting sill, especially at church. She is so much fun and we just love her to pieces.

Football

This girl will actually sit down and watch football with her dada. Not always for very long but she will do it and Caleb loves it! Who needs a boy when you have a cute cuddly girl to watch football with!🏈

What we've been up to

Of course Adilyn is growing faster than I want and its hard to capture all the cute, but I try. Here are a few photos showing what's been happening with the Lowders this month.

Adilyn usually doesn't let me put hats on her but lately she seems to like it. This one, I didn't really like this hat when I first saw it, but I must say that it looks pretty cute in her.
Aunt Mandy and uncle Jon gave Adilyn this hat for Christmas before she was even born. It didn't fit her when it was cold outside last winter, now that's it's getting colder outside again it's too small her her🙁. It kind of makes her look like an adorable elf.

This really has nothing to do with Adilyn but I wanted to show off this awesome puzzle I found at the DI. 3000 small pieces! I was fully prepared for pieces to me missing since it came from the DI but only one was missing. As much as I tried Addie still got a piece in her mouth and the layer with the image on it disappeared...not convinced that she didn't eat the missing piece as well.
Adilyn has had her first taiste of fall football. I took her to some of Calebs games last spring when she was smaller but she was easier then because she didn't squirm around and try to get off my lap. She is a lot harder now at football games and at church since she can't sit still, but we have taken her to 3 games now. Aberdeen vs Bear Lake, BYU and West Side be Aberdeen. And I'm sure there will be more games we will go to before the season is over.
I found this cute Niners shirt at the DI she looks so cute in it. She actually likes to watch football with her daddy. Pretty adorable.
Ive been pretty lucky on two occasions. Adilyn has played until she gets tired, then she grabs her bottle lays down and puts herself to sleep. I wish she would do this more often but the two times she did was pretty amazing.

Nine Months

Adilyn is nine months old!! I can't believe she has been alive as long as she was in my tummy baking.   She loves to yell as loud as she can.  She stands up on all of the furniture and walks along them to get where she needs to go. She has started to climb up on things, which adds a lot more work keeping up with her. She loves to be chased around the house. She screams and crawls away as fast as she can. She loves when daddy comes home from work.  She crawls to him and climbs up on his legs. She then gets very sad when he has to go get in the shower and can't play with her right when he gets home. We are enjoying every minute of our cute little Addie Sue.

Conference weekend

Saturday is the first day since Monday that I haven't had babies here that I was babysitting. It was my day off and maybe one of the last days this year we could go ride with Caleb while he is digging potatoes.  So Adilyn and I went and spent a few hours with him in the tractor and listened to conference with him. It was a lot of fun.
Adilyn a specially had fun looking at herself in the rear view mirror. She laughed giggled at herself.
Today, Sunday, we are spending the day just us together as a family eating a big breakfast, watching conference, and making cinnamon rolls. We got to hear from each of the 3 new apostles. I have to admit that I cried through each one of their talks. I just know they are called of God. They have become apostles before my eyes. It's just so amazing to see God's church in action.
This is my family watching conference. They were both so overcome by the spirit that it just put them right to sleep.

EISF

This is a late post but we got to go to the state fair! It was sooooo crowded because we went on Labor Day but at least Caleb got off work early enough for us to go at all this year. Had so much fun with my cute dates at the fair!
Addie got to taste my chocolate dipped cheese cake.
We also got to visit the petting zoo.
We got there just in time to see the pony show. Adults loved watching the little horses run around the arena.

8 Months

Adilyn Sue is 8 months old! She crawls everywhere including ways from her mom as fast as she can.  She stands up on all of the furniture, and tries to climb up onto everything.  She loves her daddy and gets very excited when she hears the door open when he comes home but then sad when he gets in the shower. She loves to FaceTime her grandma and grandpa Beckstead.  She claps and does the "touchdown sign" and will sometimes give a good high five.  She is interested in whatever her mom is eating and is learning to eat more and more things. She still has no teeth, though, so mom helps chew things for her. We love her to pieces to say the least.

First baseman material

Caleb and walked over to the park to hit some balls and catch some flys. My self-pitching skills were tested as I hit flys to Caleb in the outfield. It has been a long time since I've thrown the ball up to myself and hit it and I may have missed a few times, which Adilyn thought was hilarious and laughed at me every time I missed the ball. I think we might have a future ball player on our hands though, she loved watching her mom and dad play and Caleb even let her swing the bat a few times.

Hair

We have been trying some new hair styles around here. It's pretty exciting when I can get anything to stay in her hair. I know she kind I looks like Pebbles Flinstone with a little ponytail on top of her head but it's too cute I can't help it.
